This is my green griffin Marcus G.'s head. In the top shot, he doesn't have a mohawk. That's because it's removable. Id ecided to make it that way because it would have been a bit more difficult to attach the fur if the feathers were there.
This head was made with a plastic mesh base with foam to give it shape.
The beak and inside of the ears are foamies painted with Testors model paint, as is the niside of the mouth.
The eyes are plastic mesh with small holes. The irises and pupil were colored on with black, green and silver Sharpie markers.
He's got 11 silver key rings in each ear and I got the black tipped green fur at Jo-Anns.
